Embroidery digitizing is the conversion of digital artwork into a specialized file format that embroidery machines can read and execute. Here’s what happens:
- Your artwork is analyzed — Digitizer evaluates your design for complexity, detail level, and feasibility
- Design is simplified for embroidery — Complex details are adjusted to embroider properly
- Stitch paths are created — Lines, fills, and details are converted to individual stitches
- Stitch density is set — Thickness of stitching is optimized for your fabric type
- Color sequence is established — Thread color changes are programmed in correct order
- File is generated — Output is created in required machine format (EMB, PES, JEF, etc.)
- Quality testing occurs — File is tested on embroidery machine and your actual fabric
